Under the guidance of The Art People Gallery, a floor to ceiling wall mural by Nicholas Chong was commissioned by Plaza Premium Lounge in 2022. It aimed to tell a story representing Malaysia of the past, present and future possibilities of Malaysia, its culture and ideologies. With vibrant, appealing colours, the mural is instantly eye-catching, portraying various images of people, motifs, and buildings representing Malaysia as a diverse country. 

Through the painting, Chong conveys a story of struggle, effort, truth, providence, and potential that naturally emerges from chaos and being. The mural is also Chong’s nod to all the great achievements of the past and provides a framework and narrative for the future.

The wall requires many layers and a few weeks of full time painting daily. It is located at the reception area of the Plaza Premium Lounge in KLIA.
